Lancaster, Pa. (Nov. 18, 2017) - Franklin & Marshall (3-0) shot 55 percent from the floor in a 84-67 win over Alvernia University (2-1) Saturday afternoon in the championship game of the William Marshall Tip-Off Tournament at F&M.

The Dips had a 41-31 lead at the break and shot a blistering 62 percent in the second half to keep the Golden Wolves at bay.

Alvernia senior Alex Shippen had a team-high 19 points and was named to the All-Tournament team.  Kahlief Tinley finished with 12 points and Anthony Hedgepeth added 11.  F&M put five players in double figures led by Ignas Slyka with a game-high 23.

Alvernia is at Juniata next Sunday before opening the home and conference schedule on Nov. 29 against Hood College.
