Center Valley, Pa. (Nov. 19, 2017) - Alvernia University (1-2) outscored Centenary University - New Jersey (0-3) 15-6 in overtime to take a 68-59 victory in the consolation game of the Morgan Stanley Tip-Off Tournament on Sunday afternoon at DeSales University.

Emily Theobald converted two free throw attempts with 15 seconds remaining to give an Alvernia 53-51 lead. With just six seconds remaining, Centenary's Nicole Cartaino scored a layup for the Cyclones to send the game in overtime.
The Golden Wolves entered the fourth quarter with a four point advantage over the Cyclones. The Golden Wolves extended their lead six points with just over seven minutes remaining before the Cyclones crept back and regained the lead with four minutes left in regulation.
Alvernia's
Liv Andrefski paced the Golden Wolves in overtime. The senior guard scored nine points, including two three-pointers, in four minutes to guide Alvernia to its first win of the season.
Andrefski finished the day with 19 total points and five rebounds to lead the Golden Wolves. Junior
Maya Cooper had 15 points and seven assists, and Theobald finished with a career high 10 points.
Cooper was named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Golden Wolves continue their four game road-trip on Tuesday evening when they travel to Goucher College to take on the Gophers.
