Collin Welteroth made it an even dozen on Valentines Day pounding down 12 kills on 16 swings to lead Alvernia University (6-2) to a 3-0 win over Arcadia University (5-6) Tuesday evening in non-conference men's volleyball action at Jack McCloskey Court.
As a team the Crusaders got away with nine errors in the opening set prevailing 25-19 then cleaned up the offense hitting over .400 in each of the final two sets winning the second 25-20 and the deciding set 25-16.
Ralph Lunati lead the team with 13 kills and Welteroth tallied a team-best six digs, and
Dalton Hartman had 37 assists.
Alvernia continues the season with a pair of matches in the Continental Volleyball Conference this Saturday at the Juniata Tri-match. The Crusaders will face Marymount at 3:00 p.m. then the host Eagles at 5:00 p.m.
