Bethlehem, Pa. (April 11, 2017) - Moravian College (5-5) scored six goals in the fourth quarter en route to a 15-12 win over Alvernia University (3-8) Tuesday afternoon in non-conference Men's Lacrosse action at Moravian.
After a game-tying goal coming from the Crusaders' Jarret Abernathy early in the fourth quarter, the Greyhounds put together a four-goal rally to give them a 13-9 lead. Alvernia scored a quick goal after the four goal rally to bring the score to 13-10, but Moravian answered with two scores to bring the lead to 15-10. The Crusaders scored two late goals but was not able to find the back of the net for the rest of the game having the final score come to 15-12.
Alvernia started the day scoring four straight goals while keep Moravian off the score sheet in the first quarter. The Greyhounds found the back of the net three times in the second quarter to make the game a one-goal game.
Sam St. Croix scored a goal late in the second quarter to bring the score to 5-3 heading into the break.
The Greyhounds opened up the third quarter scoring two goals to level up the score at 5-5. Both teams traded back-to-back goals for the remainder of the third quarter until the Greyhounds scored a go ahead goal with .01 second remaining to give them a 9-8 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Sam St. Croix and Abernathy who had four goals apiece and
Zach Brommer who had two goals and an assist.
Kyle Augustine had three saves on the day for the Crusaders.
???????Alvernia comes back home to play Stevenson University in a tough MAC Commonwealth Conference matchup this Thursday.
