Reading, Pa. (April 19, 2017) - Lycoming College (8-4, 4-1) scored nine goals in the first half on its way to a 14-9 victory over Alvernia University (6-7, 2-3) Wednesday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse action at Alvernia.
Alvernia started the scoring off two minutes into the game with a goal coming from
Brooke Campione. Lycoming then rallied off four straight goals to build its lead to 4-1. Alvernia tallied another goal in the first half to bring the score to 4-2. The Warriors then scored five more goals through the rest of the half to take their lead to 9-2 heading into the halftime break.
???????Alvernia came out hot in the second half scoring two goals to make the score 9-4. Both teams scored back-to-back goals to bring the score to 14-6. Alvernia scored three late goals in the second half to have the final score end at 14-9.

Abby McCarthy who had four goals and an assist and
Bridget Reynolds who had two goals.
Kallie Taylor finished the afternoon with five saves.
???????Alvernia travels to Lebanon Valley College this Saturday for another MAC Conference game.
