Annville, Pa. (Apr. 22, 2017) - Lebanon Valley (4-10, 4-3) put together a six-goal run at the beginning of the game then another five straight late in a 13-8 win over Alvernia University (6-8, 2-4) in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse action at LVC.
The Crusaders opened the scoring when
Brooke Campione scored her 28th of the season unassisted just over two minutes into the game.  LVC tied the score two minutes later then pushed the lead to 6-1 scoring six straight over the next 15 minutes.
Alvernia cut the deficit to 7-4 by halftime and pulled within a goal when Mackenzie Quinn's goal eight minutes into the second half set a 8-7 score.
LVC answered with four straight goals from Emma Jones on the front of a 5-0 run that pushed the lead to 13-7 with 7:36 left to play.  Campione finished the scoring on a goal with just over two minutes left.
Alvernia returns home to host Arcadia on Tuesday.
