Brooke Campione and
Bridget Reynolds scored six goals apiece to lead Alvernia University (7-8, 3-4) to a 20-16 win over Arcadia University (6-8, 1-6) Tuesday evening in MAC Commonwealth Women's Lacrosse action at Alvernia.
Both players scored four goals after halftime as Alvernia erased a 10-7 halftime deficit with 13 second-half goals.  Arcadia had a 10-5 lead late in the first half, but goals from Reynolds and
Abby McCarthy set the 10-7 score at the break.
Alvernia scored four of the first five goals of the second half to tied the game at 11-all, then after and Arcadia goal gave the guests a 12-11 lead, Alvernia scored seven straight goals over a seven minutes span to take a 18-12 lead with 15 minutes left to play.  Campione scored two goals during the run for the Crusaders who got goals from five different players in the seven goal spurt.
Arcadia was able to stop the run on a goal with 12 minutes left to play, but then neither team scored for almost eight minutes before back-to-back goals from Reynolds to put the game out of reach.
Samantha Rothman made four saves in the second half to earn the win. Â Senior
Bailey Stover--who is the all time leader in assists for Alvernia's Women's Soccer team--forced two turnovers to become the career leader in caused turnovers with 101.
Alvernia completes the regular season on Saturday hosting Albright College as part of a women's and men's doubleheader.
