Reading, Pa. (April 22, 2017) – Lebanon Valley College (8-7, 2-5) jumped out to an early four goal lead in the first quarter on its way to a 18-5 win over Alvernia University (3-11, 0-6) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action at Alvernia.
Lebanon Valley's Klayton Garman scored three straight goals to end the first quarter giving the guests a 4-0 lead.
Alvernia scored early in the second quarter on a fastbreak goal coming off the faceoff win to bring the score to 4-1. The Dutchmen answered with a nine goal run to bring the halftime score to 13-1. Both teams traded goals back and forth throughout the remainder of the game to have the final score set at 18-5.
The Crusaders were lead by
Sam St. Croix who had a pair of goals and an assist, while Ben Manning had two goals. Lebanon Valley was lead by Garman who had nine goals on the afternoon.
Jacob O'Donnell for the Crusaders had five saves.
Alvernia travels to Arcadia University this Tuesday for another MAC Commonwealth game.
