Grantham, Pa. (Apr. 5, 2017) - Messiah College (8-2, 4-0) posted 13 second half goals en route to a 20-1 victory over Alvernia University (5-4, 1-1) Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse action at Messiah.
 
The Falcons netted six of their second half tallies across the first eight minutes.
 
Messiah opened the contest with five unanswered points. Brooke Campione halted the Falcon's run at the 13-minute mark, putting away Alvernia's lone goal. 

The Crusaders' defense kept Messiah at bay over the next ten minutes, allowing just two additional goals before the half. 
 
Samantha Rothman and Kallie Taylor shared time in goal for Alvernia, combining for 10 saves. 
 
Alvernia continues conference play on Saturday, hosting Hood College at 1:00 pm.
