Haverford, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2017) - Haverford College (1-0) scored once in each half of a 2-0 win over #18 Alvernia University (0-1) Friday afternoon in non-conference Field Hockey action at Haverford.

Haverford got on the board late in the first half when Mason McNulty scored off a deflection.  It took a 2-0 lead 15 minutes into the second half on a goal from Roxy Vassighi.

Emma Beamesderfer and Nicole Heinze each played a half in goal for the Golden Wolves with Beamesderfer making two saves in the first half and Heinze turning away seven shots in the second.
Alvernia continues the season on Sunday hosting Juniata College at 4 p.m.
