Carlisle, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2017) - Dickinson College (1-0) scored a pair of goals in a five-minute span in the first half on its way to a 2-0 win over Alvernia University (0-1) Friday afternoon in non-conference women's soccer action at Dickinson.

The Red Devils got a goal from Caitlin Gugliotta, assisted by Sienna Zittle, in the 23rd minute then doubled the lead when Killian Donohue scored unassisted in the 28th.

Jess Plunkett made nine saves in net for the Golden Wolves.

Alvernia is back in action on Sunday when it hosts Ursinus College at 1 p.m.
