Dallas, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2017) - Senior outside hitter
Kristen Sipling--the nation's leader in total kills--went over 1,000 kills for her career on Friday evening leading Alvernia University (7-4) to a tri-match sweep of Marywood University (0-8) and Misericordia University (8-3).
Sipling had 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Marywood in the middle match of the day then came back with 21 kills in a 3-1 win over the host Cougars. Sipling has been over 20 kills in five of the last six matches for the Golden Wolves.
Abby O'Donnell handed out 73 assists over two matches.
Laura Wachowicz and Emily Smtih were in double figures in digs in both matches and
Aubrey Gruwell-Keating had a team-best 23 digs in the win over Misericordia.
Alvernia returns home to host Elizabethtown College on Monday in non-conference action.
