Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (Sept. 27, 2017) - Alvernia University (5-4-1) and King's College (5-3-1) played to a 0-0 tie in double overtime Wednesday evening in non-conference men's soccer action at King's.

Alvernia held an 11-7 advantage in shots, putting seven shots on target.

King's had a pair of great chances in the final five minutes of regulation, but put a header off the crossbar and hit the post.

The Golden Wolves had three shots on net in the first overtime, but King's keeper Owen Greedey saved all three.

???????Alvernia had three more shots in the second overtime, but Greedey saved two and a third sailed high.

???????Alvernia senior Zach Rider, who earlier this season broke the school record for career shutouts, made two saves to record his 24th career shutout.

???????Alvernia opens the conference schedule this Saturday at Messiah College.
