Grantham, Pa (Sept. 30, 2017) - No. 11 Messiah College (7-1-2, 1-0)  scored six first half goals on its way to a 7-0 win over Alvernia University (3-6-1, 0-1) during Saturday evening MAC Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action at Messiah.

Messiah's Sarah Strachan struck first for the Falcons in the fourth minute of play, and Messiah never looked back.

The Falcons finished the half with a 6-0 lead, powered in part by two goals that occurred just 17 seconds apart.

Messiah's Megan Mansfield scored the final goal of the night for the Falcon's in the 75th minute of play, sealing the 7-0 victory.

Alvernia struggled to get anything going offensively, and were out shot on the night 35-2.

The Golden Wolves look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host Arcadia as they continue MAC Commonwealth Conference play.
