Reading, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2018) - Alvernia University (5-0) won five of the six singles matches in a 6-3 win over DeSales University (3-2) Tuesday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Angelica Park.
DeSales took a 2-1 lead in the match with wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles, but Alvernia bounced back with wins at 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 singles.
Amanda Phillips and
Ariana Chuprinsky teamed up for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles for the Golden Wolves and both followed with straight set wins in singles. Â Phillips won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 and Chuprinsky 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2.

Rachel Rineer also picked up singles wins for the hosts.
