Reading, Pa. (Oct. 17, 2018) - Alvernia University (6-0) swept all six singles matches in an 8-1 win over Misericordia University (4-3) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Angelica Park.

Six straight wins to start the season is the best start for Alvernia since 2009--the first season in the MAC Commonwealth--when the team won each of its first seven.

Alvernia earned wins at No. 1 and 3 doubles while Misericordia was able to take the No. 2 doubles match 2-1.

Alvernia won the first four singles matches in straight sets and took No. 5 and 6 in pro set wins.
