Owings Mill, Md. (Oct. 19, 2018) - Stevenson University (4-8-3, 3-3-1) scored a goal in the 67th minute to break a 1-1 tie and take the 2-1 win over Alvernia University (3-11-2, 1-5) in MAC Commonwealth women's soccer action.

The Mustangs got on the board early with a goal in the fourth minute.

The Golden Wolves evened up nearly 40 minutes later with a goal from Kyla Gibson off of a Lauren Gough assist to make the game 1-1 two minutes prior to the half.

Stevenson broke the 1-1 tie in the 67th minute with a goal from Samantha Hooker to give the Mustangs the 2-1 advantage.

The Golden Wolves got off their final shot on goal of the night in the 75th minute, but the effort to tie the game failed as the shot was saved.

The Golden Wolves continue their fall schedule on Tuesday with senior night and a home MAC Commonwealth contest against Hood College.
