Washington Tops Alvernia, 3-0

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 18, 2018) - Washington College (9-14) defeated Alvernia University (4-15) by a 3-0 final Friday afternoon in non-conference women's volleyball action at Jack McCloskey Court.

The Shorewomen took a 25-13 decision in the opening set, closed out a tight second set, 25-23, then finished the match 25-20 in the third.

Alvernia senior Jill Baker had two kills and two blocks on Senior Day.  Olivia Frutiger had a team high 10 kills for the Golden Wolves and Erika McKee finished with 15 digs.

Abby Smith had 10 kills and three aces to lead the Shorewomen.

Alvernia continues the conference schedule hosting Stevenson on Tuesday.
