Williamsport, Pa. (Oct. 20, 2018) - Lycoming College (4-3, 3-2) scored three touchdowns in the first quarter on its way to a 52-0 win over Alvernia University (1-6, 0-6) Saturday afternoon in MAC football action at Lycoming.
The Warriors racked up 517 yards of total offense with 24 first downs, and held the Golden Wolves to 129 yards.

Keiron Black was 6-for-18 passing for 40 yards with two picks and three sacks. Â
Malcolm Carey rushed for 71 yards and
Jordan Day had two catches for 19 yards. Lycoming had two receivers go over 100 yards receiving with two touchdowns each. Â Quarterback Elijah Shemory was 13-for-21 for 288 yards and four touchdowns.
Lycoming scored on its first four possessions and held a 24-0 lead.
Alvernia put together a sustained drive late in the third quarter. Â The drive started at the Alvernia 16 with Matt Monteverde rushing for three yards. Â The drive was kept alive by three third down conversions and a fourth down conversion at the Lycoming 24. Â It was kept alive again by a Lycoming holding penalty on a fourth down from the 14 that gave Alvernia first and goal from the 7.
Carey was stopped for no gain on first down and a holding team pushed Alvernia back 10 yards on second down before Black was sacked on 2nd down and threw a pick on 3rd down.
Alvernia continues the season next Saturday at Widener.
