Owings Mill, Md. (Oct. 20, 2018) - Stevenson University (9-6-1, 3-3-1) scored a goal in the final five minutes to take a 2-1 win over Alvernia University (6-10-2, 2-4) in MAC Commonwealth men's soccer action on Saturday night at Stevenson.

Alvernia opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a goal Adam Orndorff.

The Mustangs tied it up at 1-1 five minutes later with a goal of their own.

The game would remain tied at one all for the next 50 minutes before the Mustangs were able to connect off of a free kick that was headed into net to take the 2-1 lead.

The Golden Wolves got of a header of their own in the final ten seconds of regulation, but the Mustangs were able to make the save and hold onto the win.

Alvernia now sits in a two way tie with Arcadia in the fifth spot of MAC Commonwealth standings with two games remaining in the regular season.

The Golden Wolves close out their home schedule on Tuesday with their senior night celebration against Hood, and then close out the season with crosstown rival Albright.
