Reading, Pa. (Oct. 3, 2018) - Widener University (12-11, 3-1) took a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (3-11, 0-4) Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth women's volleyball action at Jack McCloskey Court.
The Pride finished a 25-23 win in the first set then took a 2-0 lead in the match with a 26-24 win in the second set.  In the final set, Widener opened up a 13-6 lead and kept a safe lead until finishing off a 25-20 win.

Paige Stern led the Golden Wolves with 14 kills, Molly Gaffney had 33 assists, and Gabrielle DeLuca had a team-high 13 digs.

Alvernia continues the season this Saturday at the Rutgers-Camden Tri-match.
