Glenside, Pa. (Oct. 6, 2018) - Alvernia University (5-7-2, 1-1) scored two goals in the final ten minutes to take a 2-0 win over Arcadia University (3-8-1, 0-3) on Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's soccer action at Arcadia.

Alvernia broke the nearly 80 minute long scoreless tie with just over ten minutes remaining when Gabe Sensenig got the Golden Wolves on the board with a goal.

The Knights had two shot on goal opportunities in the next three minutes, but Alvernia's Luca Grippi made two saves to keep the Golden Wolves up 1-0.

The Golden Wolves added an insurance goal in the 87th minute when Dominic Gallo received the ball from Sensenig and fired on goal to put the Golden Wolves  up 2-0, which they held onto for the remainder of the game.

Grippi played all 90 minutes for the Golden Wolves in goal and made nine saves on the day.

The Golden Wolves continue their MAC Commonwealth schedule on Tuesday when they travel to Williamsport to take on Lycoming.
