Glenside, Pa. (Oct. 6, 2018) - Arcadia University (8-2-2, 3-0) scored three goals in the second half to pull away for a 5-0 win over Alvernia University (2-8-2, 1-2) in MAC Commonwealth women's soccer action on Saturday at Arcadia.
Arcadia struck first in the 23rd minute to go up 1-0 and extended its lead to  2-0 16 minutes later.
The Knights added to their lead three minutes into the second half, and scored an additional two goals over the next 18 minutes to take a 5-0 lead.
Alvernia was out shot 21-3, and the Golden Wolves were held shotless in the second half.
Lily Sankey made four saves for Alvernia in the first 58 minutes before
Riley Scepansky took over in the final 32 minutes. Scepansky did not face any shots on goal.
The Golden Wolves take a brief break from their MAC Commonwealth schedule on Wednesday when they host Penn State Brandywine.
