Trujillo Alto, PR (Dec. 19, 2018) - Hanover College (7-4) held Alvernia University (3-8) to 25 points over the last three quarters on its way to a 69-40 win Wednesday afternoon in non-conference women's basketball action in Puerto Rico.

The Panthers held a 20-15 lead after the first quarter and built on that with a 14-3 run to open the second.  They held a 35-23 lead at halftime then outscored the Golden Wolves 23-9 in the third quarter.

Alvernia got a team-best eight points and seven rebounds from Gabriella DeVito.  Hanover had a pair of players reach double figures led by 16 points from Alexis Nall.

Alvernia continues the Puerto Rico schedule facing Edgewood on Thursday.
