Aston, Pa. (Feb. 19, 2018) - Neumann University (1-0) scored five straight goals in the fourth quarter to lock up a 13-6 win over Alvernia University (0-1) Monday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse at Neumann.

The Knights had a 4-1 lead after the first quarter and scored the only goal of the game in the second quarter for a 5-1 lead at halftime.  Alvernia scored the first two goals of the third quarter, and had the deficit back down to three goals, 7-4, when freshman Austin Lucas scored his second goal of the game 90 seconds into the fourth quarter.

Neumann responded to that goal with a run of five straight over the next seven minutes to put the game away.

Jacob O'Donnell made 23 saves in the game for Alvernia.  Lucas and Jarrett Abernethy led the Alvernia offense with two goals apiece.

Alvernia continues the non-conference schedule next Wednesday when it hosts Centenary College at 4:00 p.m.
