Glenside, Pa. (April 11, 2018) - Arcadia University (7-5, 2-2) used a 12 goal first half to propel themselves to a 18-5 victory over Alvernia University (0-10, 0-4) in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse action at Arcadia.
The Golden Wolves took an early 2-0 lead with goals from
Rachel Judge and
Taylor Miltner before Arcadia went on a 12-0 run to close out the first half.
The Knights opened up the second half with three more goals to take a 15-2 lead.
The Golden Wolves cut the deficit to 15-4 with a second goal from Judge and a goal from
Alyson Keene.
Judge completed the hat trick with a goal with just under four minutes left in the game, but the Knights came away with 18-5 victory.
Judge led the Alvernia with three goals, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
Samantha Rothman played all 60 minutes in goal and made 11 saves on the night.
The Golden Wolves continue their conference schedule on Saturday with a game at crosstown rival Albright.
