Reading, Pa. (Apr. 14, 2018) - Albright College (9-4, 3-1) defeated Alvernia University (0-12, 0-5) by a 17-1 final Saturday afternoon at Shirk Stadium.

Alvernia scored the opener just 31 seconds into the game, but it was all Albright from there.  The Lions answered just over a minute later and built a 14-1 lead by the halftime break.

Albright scored just three times in the second half.

Samantha Rothman made six saves for Alvernia in the first half.  Katherine Giannaras played the second half and made two saves.

Alvernia continues the conference schedule at Widener on Wednesday.
