Reading, Pa. (April 18, 2018) - Widener University (5-9, 2-3) defeated Alvernia University (0-13, 0-6) by a score of 21-2 on Wednesday evening at Widener' Dixon Field.

The Pride scored the first eleven goals of the game before Alvernia's Tequila Donnelly had an unassisted goal to put the Golden Wolves on the board with just under nine minutes to go in the first half.

Widener scored six additional goals before Alvernia was able to connect again with a goal from Taylor Miltner.

The Pride scored the final four goals of the game to take the 21-2 victory.

Samantha Rothman and Katharine Giannaris split time in goal and combined for seven saves.

The Golden Wolves continue their conference schedule on Tuesday when they host Messiah.
