Reading, Pa. (Apr. 14, 2018) - Albright College (4-4, 2-2) scored five goals in the first quarter on its way to a 15-7 win over Alvernia University (0-11, 0-5) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action at Albright.
Both teams netted three goals in the second quarter with Alvernia junior Tyler McDonnell getting a pair for the guests.
Alvernia junior Jarrett Abernethy scored back-to-back goals to open the scoring in the third quarter and pull the Golden Wolves to within three goals at 8-5, but Albright answered with a run of five straight to pull away.
Abernethy finished with a team-high three goals. Â Jacob O'Donnell made 17 saves in net for Alvernia.
The Golden Wolves continue the conference schedule at Widener on Wednesday.
