Jay Ringer scored the game-winning goal six minutes overtime to give the Golden Wolves the 1-0 win over King's College (0-1) in the first game of the 2018 season at King's.
The Golden Wolves were out shot in regulation, 13-2, but Alvernia was able to convert when it mattered most in overtime.
With six minutes elapsed in the first overtime,
Jay Ringer took a shot from 30 yards out and converted into the upper right of the goal.
In his season debut, junior goalie
Luca Grippi collected five goals on the night.
Alvernia continues its 2018 season on Saturday when it competes in day two of the Monarch/Royal Classic against Scranton University at 3:00 PM.
