Baltimore, Md. (Sept. 12, 2018) - Joe Ginder slammed home a deflected corner kick with 90 seconds left to give Alvernia University (2-3-1) a 2-1 win over Goucher College (0-4-1) Wednesday evening in non-conference men's soccer action at Goucher.

All the scoring happened in the final 20 minutes of play.  Gabe Sensenig opened the scoring assisted by Alex Person and Austin Young in the 71st minute and Goucher tied it up 10 minutes later.

Young was given the assist on the Ginder game winner and finished with two assists.

Luca Grippi made a pair of saves to preserve the win.

Alvernia returns home to face Eastern University on Saturday.
