Radnor, Pa (Sept. 22, 2018) - Cabrini University (5-2) scored three goals in the second half on its way to a 4-2 win over Alvernia University (2-5-1) in non-conference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Cabrini.

The Cavaliers opened the scoring in the 12th minute of action with a goal Alex Graces.

The Golden Wolves had four shot on goal attempts in the remainder of the first half, but were unable to convert and Cabrini took the 1-0 avantage into the break.

Cabrini extended its lead to 2-0 in the 55th minute with a goal from Diana Van Sinkle, and extended it to 3-0 six minutes later with a Tori Kasper goal.

Alison Hyde got the Golden Wolves on the board about 12 minutes later with a goal off of a loose ball.

Just two minutes later, Alvernia answered again. Johnna Shank fired a shot from 20 yards out to cut the Golden Wolves deficit to one, but Alvernia would be unable to reach the back of the net again.

Cabrini gave itself an insurance goal with just over ten minutes to play to take the 4-2 lead.

Alvernia goalie Lily Sankey played all 90 minutes and collected three saves.

Alvernia continues its non-conference schedule on Wednesday with a road match against Ursinus.
