Reading, Pa. (Sept. 26, 2018) - Senior Adam Orndorff scored off a corner kick in the 15th minute, and the Alvernia University (4-5-2) did not allow a shot on goal as the Golden Wolves defeated Lancaster Bible College (3-3-1) 1-0 in non-conference men's soccer action on Wednesday evening at Alvernia.

The lone goal of the game came early in the 15th minute. Senior Austin Young sent in a corner kick that was deflected off the head of a Charger defender and back towards Orndorff. Orndorff quickly gained control of the ball and fired off a shot.

That goal would be all the Golden Wolves needed, as Alvernia's defense held the Chargers to just two total shots, one in each half, that were both off the mark.

The Golden Wolves close out their non-conference schedule on Saturday with an away match at Cabrini University. Alvernia then gets its MAC Commonwealth schedule underway on October 3, with a home contest against Lebanon Valley College.
