Camden, NJ (Sept. 5, 2018) - Alvernia University (1-1-1) and Rutgers-Camden (2-0-1) played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday evening in men's soccer action at Rutgers-Camden.
The Scarlet Raptors and Golden Wolves were locked up at the half, 0-0, with equal shot on goal opportunities heading into the break.
Rutgers-Camden broke the scoreless tie late in the 57th minute with a goal from 30 yards out to give the Scarlet Raptors the 1-0 lead.

Adam Orndorff tied it back up at 1-1 when freshman
Braden Kreider sent the ball into Orndorff off the right side, and Orndorff fired to tie it up.
Both teams had multiple shot opportunities, including one by Orndorff that sailed just over the crossbar as time expired in the second overtime, but were unable to convert.
Luca Grippi played all 110 minutes for the Golden Wolves, notching four saves on the evening.
The Golden Wolves open up a weekend home stand with a non-conference match against Penn State Berks at 7:00 PM on Friday. Alvernia then finishes out the weekend with a Sunday afternoon competition against Swarthmore.
