Williamsport, Pa. (Sept. 5, 2018) - Lycoming College (4-0, 1-0) won three close sets for a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (1-4, 0-1) Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth women's volleyball action at Lycoming.
The Warriors fought off a set point for the Golden Wolves at 24-23 before taking a 27-25 win. Â They took the second set 25-19 and finished up the match with a 25-22 win in the third set.
Alvernia sophomore
Olivia Frutiger led the Golden Wolves with 11 kills and five aces. Â
Alexis Schwenk had a team-best 18 assists. Schwenk and Frutiger tied for the team lead in digs with eight.
​​​​​​​Alvernia continues the conference schedule next Tuesday when it hosts Lebanon Valley College.
