Lynchburg, Va. (Sept. 8, 2018) - Lynchburg College (3-0) scored four goals in the first half on the way to a 9-0 win over Alvernia University (1-3) Saturday afternoon at Liberty University.

The Hornets opened the scoring in the sixth minute, doubled the lead in the 12th minute, added to the lead with a goal in the 22nd minute, and took a 4-0 lead into halftime with a goal in the 30th minute.

Lynchburg added five goals in the second half including three goals in the final nine minutes.

Three Alvernia goalies combined for four saves.

The Golden Wolves return home to start a run of four straight home games hosting Gettysburg on Wednesday.
