Towson, Md. (Oct. 19, 2019) - Goucher College (11-9) defeated Alvernia University (3-11) by a 3-0 final Saturday morning in non-conference women's volleyball action at Goucher.

The Gophers won the first set 25-16, took the second set 25-13, and closed out the match with a 25-20 win in the third set.

Mikala Persky had five kills and two blocks to lead Alvernia. Gabrielle DeLucca had 14 digs for the Golden Wolves.

Alvernia returns to action Wednesday at home against Arcadia University.
