Reading, Pa. (Oct. 23, 2019) - Arcadia University (14-11, 5-1) won the last two sets of the match for a 3-1 win over Alvernia University (3-12, 1-5) Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth women's volleyball action at Jack McCloskey Court.

Arcadia outlasted Alvernia in the opening set 25-23 and Alvernia returned the favor with a 25-23 win in set number two.  The Golden Wolves took a 24-23 lead in the third set, but the Knights grabbed three straight points and a 2-1 lead in the match.

Arcadia ran off seven straight points to break a 5-5 tie in the fourth set on its way to a 25-12 win.

Olivia Frutiger led the Alvernia offense with 13 kills.  Alexis Schwenk had 30 assists and Gabrielle DeLucca had 25 digs.

Alvernia continues the season next Tuesday at Stevenson.
