Reading, Pa. (Oct. 2, 2019) - Cabrini University (4-6-1) shutout Alvernia University (1-9-2) 2-0 on Wednesday night in non-conference men's soccer action at Alvernia.

The Cavaliers got on the board in the second minute of action when Cabrini crossed the ball and the ball was mis-played by an Alvernia defender and he headed it into net. 

Both teams went scoreless until the 80th minute when the Cavaliers added to their lead with a goal from Justin Andre.

Alvernia outshot the Cavaliers 14-5, and held the advantage in shots on goal, 6-3.

Ben Solsky played all 90 minutes for Alvernia, making a single save.

Tonight marked the end of non-conference play, as Alvernia opens up MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday at 7:30 PM at Messiah College.
