Reading, Pa. (Oct. 21, 2019) - Rowan University (8-6-1) needed just one goal to get by Alvernia University (3-3-1) in a 1-0 win on Monday evening in non-conference women's soccer action at Alvernia.

After being locked at 0-0 for the first 68 minutes, Rowan's Casey Lubonski sent a ball in, Megan McKinley quickly deflected it over to Aidan Sheehan who fired a shot in past Lily Sankey to go up 1-0.

The Golden Wolves would not get another shot off  in the final 22 minutes as the Profs would go on for the 1-0 win.

Sankey finished with seven saves for Alvernia. Alison Hyde finished with Alvernia's only shot on goal, which came in the 34th minute of action.

Alvernia returns to its MAC Commonwealth schedule on Wednesday at Lebanon Valley.
