Chester, Pa. (Oct. 30, 2019) -
Ryan Kuster scored two second half goals to lead Alvernia University (4-12-3, 3-3-1) to a 3-1 win over Widener University (9-7-1, 2-4-1) on Wednesday night in MAC Commonwealth Men's Soccer action at Widener.
After the Pride opened the scoring with a goal late in the 27th minute, Alvernia's
Edwin Navas tied it up at 1-1 with a goal in the 43rd minute.
Kuster broke the 1-1 tie with his first goal of the evening in the 65th minute.

Ben Solsky made an impressive save in the 83rd minute to keep Alvernia up 2-1.Â
With just over two minutes remaining, Kuster added an insurance goal for the Golden Wolves with his second of the night.
The Pride would not threaten as Alvernia took the 3-1 win.
Solesky finished the night with three saves.
With the win, Alvernia improves to 3-3-1 in MAC Commonwealth play.Â
The playoff picture still remains unclear for the Golden Wolves as they remain in a 3-way tie for fourth place.Â
The Golden Wolves close out the regular season on Saturday with a home game against Albright. With an Alvernia win and a Stevenson or Lebanon Valley loss, the Golden Wolves will get a spot in the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
