Hood Handles Alvernia, 24-7

Lake And St. Croix Score Two Each For Alvernia

Frederick, Md. (Apr. 13, 2019) - Hood College (10-3, 3-3) defeated Alvernia University (3-10, 0-5) by a 24-7 final Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action at Hood.

Alvernia opened the scoring on an unassisted goal from Andrew Ritchie, but the Blazers scored six straight to open up a 6-1 lead after the first quarter, and led 12-4 at halftime.

Keith Lake and Sam St. Croix scored two goals each to lead the Golden Wolves.

Jacob O'Donnell made 21 saves for Alvernia.

The Golden Wolves continues the conference schedule on Wednesday when they host crosstown rival Albright College.
