Annville, Pa. (Apr. 17, 2019) - Lebanon Valley College (8-6, 5-1) held Alvernia University (4-10, 1-5) to just two goals a half en route to a 21-4 win by the Dutchmen in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse action on Wednesday night at Lebanon Valley.
The Dutchmen jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening ten minutes before Alvernia got on the board for the first time with a goal by
Brittany Defibaugh.
Lebanon Valley would go on to score the seven of the final eight goals of the first half to go into the break with a 13-2 lead.
The Golden Wolves scored twice in a two minute span in the second half, but were held scoreless the other 28 minutes of the half as the Dutchmen would take the 21-4 win.
Katharine Giannaras played all 60 minutes for Alvernia in net, making 11 saves.
Defibaugh,
Amanda Moyer,
Erika Whitmoyer, and
Julia Peter all scored a goal for Alvernia.
Alvernia has off for the weekend, but return home on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM game against Lycoming.
