Owings Mills, Md. (Apr. 3, 2019) - Third ranked Stevenson University (28-3, 12-1) topped Alvernia University (10-17, 4-8) 3-0 on Wednesday night in MAC men's volleyball action at Stevenson.

The Mustangs opened the match with a 25-16 first set win.

The Golden Wolves trailed 17-15 late in the second set, but the Mustangs eight of the final 12 set points to take the 25-19 second set win.

After leading by just two early in the third set, the Mustang jumped out to a 10-5 lead en route to a 25-13 third set win to take the match 3-0.

Spencer Matthews led Alvernia with 15 kills on 37 attacks and two service aces. Dalton Hartman finished with 20 assists, and Jon Demeter finished with 11 digs.

Alvernia closes out its 2019 season on Saturday at the Widener Tri-Match.
