Thek Wins 50th Singles Match As Alvernia Rolls Past Hood

Reading, Pa. (Apr. 6, 2019) - Graduate Student Emily Thek earned her 50th career singles win as Alvernia University (10-4 1-1) swept all six singles matches in an 8-1 win over Hood College (4-5, 0-2) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth women's tennis action at Governor Mifflin Courts.

Hood earned a win at No. 1 doubles with an 8-7 (7-5) win, but Alvernia easily claimed the other two doubles matches by 8-0 scores.

The Golden Wolves then cruised through singles play with six straight-set wins.

Alvernia continues the conference schedule at Lebanon Valley on Monday.
