Reading, Pa. (Sept. 10, 2019) - Alvernia University (1-0) swept Cabrini University (0-1) by a 9-0 final Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference women's tennis matchup at Angelica Park.

Ariana Chupinsky and Rachel Rineer got things started with an 8-0 win at #1 doubles. At #2 doubles Laura Covely and Lauren Noss replicated what there teammates had done. Alvernia wrapped up doubles play with an 8-1 win and gave Alvernia a 3-0 lead heading into singles.

In singles play, Chuprinsky won her match 6-0,6-0 at #1 singles. Covely won her match 6-2,6-0 in #2 singles while Noss and Rineer did the same with commanding victories as well in #4 and #3 singles. Kemper and Danovich won as well in #5 and #6 singles which gave Alvernia the 9-0 win.

Women's Tennis continues their fall season on September 18th, at DeSales University.
