Rochester, NY (Sept. 28, 2019) - Rochester University (7-2) scored three goals in a 19 minute span en route to a 3-2 win over Alvernia University (1-8-2) on Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action at the University of Rochester.

Alvernia jumped out a 1-0 in the 26th minute when Ethan LaVerdure headed a shot in for the Golden Wolves.

Rochester then went on a 3-0 run that began in the 34th minute with a goal off of a long throw in, and ended 19 minutes later with a header in the 55th minute.

Alvernia got one back one minute later when Ryan Kuster headed one thru the keeper's hands to make it 3-2 in favor of Rochester.

The Golden Wolves would not get another shot off as Rochester held on for the 3-2 win.

Luca Grippi played all 90 minutes in net for Alvernia, making three saves.

Alvernia returns home on Wednesday and will host Cabrini University at 7:30 PM.
