BOX SCORE Allentown, Pa. (Oct. 15, 2021) - Muhlenberg College (2-10-1) scored two goals in two minutes to take a 2-0 win over Alvernia University (3-10) on Friday night in non-conference women's soccer action at Muhlenberg. 

The Muhls broke a 0-0 tie with a goal in the 73rd minute, then doubled up its lead to 2-0 in the 75th minute.

Alvernia managed two shots on goal in the first half - one by Eden Jahn in the 8th and the other by Heather Perna by in the 17th minute - but both were saved by Muhlenberg's keeper. While Alvernia was unable to convert, Lily Sankey was also able to keep the Muhls off the board with four saves and keep it 0-0 at the half.

Kyla Gibson put on a shot on net for Alvernia in the 56th minute, but the Muhls continued to keep Alvernia off the board.

17 minutes later, Muhlenberg scored its first of two goals in two minutes.

Alvernia did not get another shot off after Muhlenberg's two goals as the Muhls came away with the 2-0 win.

Sankey and Brynn Bock combined for eight saves in net for Alvernia.

Alvernia returns to action on Sunday hosting Penn State Berks.
