Reading, Pa. (Oct. 26, 2021) - Albright College (8-7-2, 3-4) scored three second half goals en route to a 3-1 win over Alvernia University (3-14, 0-7) on Tuesday night in MAC Commonwealth Women's Soccer action at Albright. 

The Golden Wolves struck first with a goal by Grace Silva late in the 19th minute. 

While Albright was able to outshoot Alvernia 5-2 in the first half, Alvernia was able to keep the Lions off the board and take a 1-0 lead into the half.

Alvernia's lead did not last long in the second half as the Lions tied things up at 1-1 with a goal by Emily Serpico just 47 seconds into the second half.

Albright took the lead just over a minute later after converting a penalty kick opportunity. 

The Lions extended their lead to 3-1 with a 72nd minute goal to make it a 3-1 game.

Alvernia was unable to get a shot off in the second half as Albright came away with the 3-1 win.

Lily Sankey played all 90 minutes in net for Alvernia, making two saves.

The Golden Wolves close out their 2021 campaign on Saturday evening with a home game against Hood.
