Marlborough, Mass. (Nov. 13, 2021) - Anna Maria College (1-3-1) scored three unanswered goals to top Alvernia University (2-4) 3-1 on Saturday night in non-conference women's ice hockey action at Anna Maria.  

Lexi Hooper put the Golden Wolves on the board with a power play goal just over ten minutes  into the action. 

The Amcats put several shots on net, but were unable to convert as Alvernia took the 1-0 lead into the second period. 

Just under five minutes into the second period the Amcats evened it up with a goal from Abigail Vigliotte. Five minutes later they took the 2-1 lead on a goal from Grace Dodge. 

Alvernia had two power play opportunities in the third period, but were unable to convert. 

The Amcats went on to score an empty net goal with 44 seconds remaining for the 3-1 win.

Isabelle Hovel finished the night with 28 saves in net.

Alvernia returns to action on Friday at Neumann University.
